About

Hi, my name is Isaac.

I am a candidate (May 2009) for a Master’s degree in Information Management and Systems at the UC Berkeley School of Information. My areas of focus include UI design, information visualization,  and artificial intelligence. Take a look at the Coursework and Portfolio sections of the site to see more about the classes I’ve taken at Berkeley and some samples of the course projects I’ve worked on over the last two years. My portfolio also includes professional and personal design and development projects. Bottom line: I like building interfaces and visualizations that make large amounts of information usable and useful.

I graduated from Stanford University in 2005 with a BA in Psychology. While at Stanford, I predominantly studied language and linguistic development.

When I’m not designing, coding, BARTing to Berkeley, or in class: I play and watch a lot of soccer, travel whenever I get the chance (got all fifty states as of September!), learn languages, listen to old blues music, and wander around San Francisco.
